Just this past week, I found out SyFy was playing a Being Human Season 1 marathon. So, I set my DVR to record all day Monday.
A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost together in a house living a normal human life . This is the US version of the BBC Series Being Human.
Aidan - the vampire who became one during the Revolutionary War is now a nurse.
Josh - the werewolf is an orderly and works at the same hospital as Aidan.
Sally - the ghost who was engaged to the landlord of the house that Aidan and Josh decide to rent. She haunts the house.
I have watched the first 4 episodes and it is interesting. A lot of story line has already started.
Josh begins to learn more about being a werewolf when he meets another like him.
Sally begins to learn more about how she died and how she can leave the house by centering her thoughts.
Roommates living in Boston, working and being human!
Looks Good so Far!!
More to Come (about to watch more)..take a bite and share your thoughts. V V
Season 2 begins on January 16th on SyFy

Book - Dracula, The Undead (Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt)
Do you remember Bram Stoker's Dracula? Do you remember Francis Coppola's take on Dracula?
When I came across this title it definitely caught my interest. A sequel to Dracula written by a decendant of Bram Stoker. I purchased it and read it. I do reccomend it! If you are a fan of Bram Stoker's Dracula read this.
This book picks up in 1912, 25 years after Dracula had been defeated. Mina and Jonathan have a son who is at University. Jonathan has inheritied a business and is trying to get through everyday life with many lingering personal demons. Mina is the socialite wife she had wanted to be. Their son Qunicey has left Law School and has all intentions of staying as far away from his father's business as possible. He can see his father's unhappiness and does want to follow in those footsteps. Quincey's sights are on London Theater. He comes across a production of Dracula, directed by Barm Stoker himself. The production of Dracula starts to sound a little too familar to Quincey. Stories he heard growing up are coming to light. Terrible secrets of his parents past are revealed and the group that had defeated Dracula are now being hunted down one by one. Including Van Helsing's protege and family friend, Jack Seward. Could Dracula be alive?
As I read, I could not help but think of Francis Copploa's Dracula. I pictured Mina as Winona Ryder and Jonathan as Keanu Reeves. I even had someone come to mind for Quincey. I will not say who I pictured until I hear from you!
I thought this book was very interesting there are parts that are gory and will keep you reading to see what happens next. I am glad I came across this book and hope you will give it a try, too.
Dracula -The Undead, is written with notes on characters and plots by Bram Stoker himself.
Have a Bite and I look forward to hearing from you! V V

A True Blood "Ultimate" Fan Experience
In June of 2010, the official True Blood HBO Face Book fan page announced a contest for US Trubies. The True Blood Ultimate Fan Experience would happen in movie theaters in 50 City's. There would be a screening of the season 2 finale, a live simulcasted interview on the set at Gram's House with the cast and sneak peeks of season 3 (including the introduction Sam's brother Tommy).
Once you entered the contest and chose your city on the fan page you would have a chance each night during the contest period to win tickets plus an additional opportunity to win some True Blood Gear. From Dusk until Dawn a new city would appear every 6 minutes 13 seconds. When you saw your city you clicked and refreshed repeatedly to see if you were a lucky winner!
With just 2 days left, I finally got the "Congrats" pop up! Two tickets to the Boston screening were mine! It was more difficult to find someone as crazy as me to go this screening at 11pm on a Tuesday! But I did and we were on our way.
It was a Great Time! We learned lots of interesting tid bits....like the use of "Socks". Let's just say this is specifically for the men. Each man has his own sock and they are even brought out to them on a vevlet tray. After the event there were giveaway bags. These were filled with a lot of swag. True Blood (drink), Season 2 Soundtrack, multiple Sookie Stackhouse Books all in a True Blood back pack!
When you see events like these come up they are worth the experience! Take a bite and be an Ultimate Fan.
VV
PS - I did also win some True Blood Gear, a True Blood Comic Book!

Authors - P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
The House of Night Series, written by mother/daughter team, PC Cast and Kristin Cast is a Great Read!
I highly recommend giving the first book, Marked, a try. I did and could not put it down!
A friend told me about this series. She said I needed to read it. She leant me the first 5 books, all at once.
I was finishing up the Twilight Saga, so I had the opportunity to begin reading these books.
A society where vampyres are not necessarily accepted, but are a part of everyday life.
Anyone could have the "vampyre" gene. A Tracker could come and mark you at the age of 15. The Tracker would tell you "you have been marked" and a crescent moon tattoo would appear on your forehead.
Many families did not accept that their children could have this gene and wanted nothing to do with them if they became marked.
Marked children would move to various House of Night locations (schools) to begin learning of this change and eventually see whether their body would accept it. Not all marked children successfully change into a vampyre.
This series is about one school and revolves around one particular girl. A special girl with special gifts!
I could not put the book/s down. I Love a book that is so vivid that you just need to keep reading.
This is a series worthy of that. While explaining it to a coworker it was brought up that this could be...The Vampire version of Harry Potter.
There are 9 books in this series in print. The 9th book, Destined was just released on October 25th. The Fledging Handbook and Dragon's Oath are additional books to read while waiting for more!
